The Great 5K Pumpkin Run was held on Saturday, September 24th in downtown Lonoke. This run supports the Open Arms Shelter Organization. It is one of the main fundraising events for Lonoke Open Arms Shelter and 100% of the proceeds are donated to the organization. The Lonoke cross-country team participated in the 5K race. Seven of the cross-country members placed in their divisions. Latrell Burnett (12) placed first in his division, JT Stuart (10) placed second in his division, Jonathan Hixson (8) placed second in his division, Jesus Ramirez (10) placed third in his division, and Deacon Rollason (8) placed third in his division, Will Payne (10) placed fourth in his division, and Alexis Hooten (8) placed fourth in her division. Cross-country coach, Stephanie Hamilton, mentioned, ¨The race went great. Everyone improved on their time and set new personal records.¨ Way to run rabbits!
