On November 8 at Beebe High School, Senior Bryce Cummings tried out for the Region IV All-Region Jazz Band. Bryce states that to prepare himself for the competition he practiced 7 days a week for weeks. Bryce was selected to first band first chair. ”I feel really grateful because the competition was so tough.” Bryce represented Lonoke in the All-Region Jazz Clinic on November 11 and 12. He will also have the opportunity to audition for the All-State Jazz Band in February. According to the Lonoke High School Band Facebook page, Patrick Matarazzo, the LHS Band Director, states,” This hard-working young man continues to make a name for himself while representing the Lonoke School District in a positive way.” Congratulations Bryce Cummings, Lonoke is so proud!
