On Tuesday, November 8th, the Lady Rabbits hosted Estem at the Gina Cox Center. The Lady Rabbits dominated the Lady Mets with a final score of 53-11. Head basketball coach, Chris Brown, said, “Overall, I was happy with our first outing. Our kids played extremely hard against Estem. We saw several things on film that needed to be adjusted, but overall, for the first game, our coaching staff was happy.” He went on to add, “Tyesha James had 16 points and her sister, Shakari, added 10 more.”

Encouraging everyone and shining all around was D’Mya Eason, 10. “D’Mya Eason led the team with a double-double. She had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Her energy from start to finish was very encouraging,” stated Coach Brown. Eason explained, “We played well against Estem for it to be our first game.” She also mentioned, “I could’ve shot more and worked harder on our plays. I feel like the outcoming score would’ve been much higher than a 53, but a win is a win and I’m grateful for that.”

This week the Lady Rabbits are preparing to take on Palestine Wheatley and their rival school Carlisle. “Both of these games should be competitive,” said Coach Brown. Both games will be hosted at the Gina Cox Center here in Lonoke. The game starts at 6 pm. Go Rabbits.
