On Tuesday, November 15, the Lonoke High School Swim Team placed fourth out of eight teams in the North Little Rock hosted Swim Meet. The meet took place at the Lonoke Community Center where every parking spot was filled to support the swim teams. North Little Rock placed first in the meet, but the rabbits followed closely behind.

Senior Logan Bevis competed in the 500 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke where she placed second and third place. She explained, “I didn’t swim all week since the last meet, but I was able to pull off a personal record with the 500 free and a season-best with the 100 breaststroke.” As Bevis mentioned these accomplishments, she also spoke about Senior teammate Hunter Newkirk and his great swim meet experience. Newkirk placed fifth in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 200 freestyle. He stated, “I think it went really well and everyone cut time.” Lonoke Jackrabbits Swim competed very well and their next swim meet is this Saturday, November 19, in Batesville at 10 am. Come out and support the Jackrabbits as they swim their hearts out!
