On Friday, November 4th, the Rabbits fell short one point against the Nashville Scrappers at James B. Abraham Stadium. Despite the loss, the Rabbits played incredibly well. Head football coach, Coach Norton said, “We had a great week on the practice field and thought our plan was good and our guys were focused,” He adds, “We expected it to be a really competitive game and that’s what we got. We play hard every Friday night, just came up short this week.”

Shining all around during the game was Jaxson Ingle. “I thought Jaxson Ingle was huge for us on Friday Night. We are just getting him back from injury and he’s just a really good football player.” Coach Norton stated he is very good as a defensive back, wide receiver, running back, and he blocks well. Ingle said his team competed well together and they fought back when they needed to. He states, “This week’s game has helped us prepare and get ready for the playoffs coming up.” Ingle says his goal this week is to have a great week at practice to prepare himself for the playoff game against Ashdown. Coach Norton said that Jonathan Lewis was also an important player against Nashville on the line of scrimmage. “I thought Jonathan has put together a great senior season and we’ve been really proud of his production.

This week the Rabbits are preparing for the first round of playoffs against Ashdown. “Our guys are dialed in, we’ve been sharp so far on the practice field. I think this Ashdown group is really good defensively, so that will provide us with a challenge we will have to prepare for.” He adds that they are taking advantage of their style of defense and working with it. Offensively, they are athletic but he has a tremendous amount of confidence in our defense. “I expect it to be a great game, we hope to see a huge crowd at home on Friday night,” Coach Norton sums up. The game starts at 7 pm, and the theme is character day. Go Jackrabbits!
