What a day for the Jackrabbits! LHS had a fantastic homecoming week full of exciting dress-up days, a homecoming parade, homecoming ceremonies, and a 28-to-7 Lonoke Jackrabbit homecoming win! Friday, October 14th, 2022, senior, Alexis Rudder, was crowned queen by her escort senior, Landon Jones, during the daytime ceremony and then again by LHS Principal, Fran Howard, during the evening ceremony. Alexis expressed, ¨I was so honored to be chosen to represent queen. It was the best week ever and I had so much fun and was glad I got to share it with Landon. Being crowned was a moment I´ll never forget.¨ 2022 LHS homecoming queen, Alexis Rudder, was escorted by Landon Jones, as well as Havyn Spencer (Pre-K) and Jaylan Gant (2). Senior, Maid of Honor, Maleah Behrens, was escorted by senior, Cole Krablin. The Lonoke homecoming parade took place around 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. It was full of all of the senior high and junior high maids, class floats, and several other floats. The freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors decorated their class floats for a competition. The junior class float pulled out the win. Junior, Colton Amato, excited, ¨Our float won, I was so proud and I was so happy.¨

The Jackrabbits pulled out a great homecoming win Friday night against the Heber Panthers. Lonoke scored a total of 14 points over Heber in the first half. Sophomore, Brady Evans, played offensive line Friday night. He mentioned, ¨Both teams came out wanting to run the ball and over time Lonoke just played the better game.¨ The Jackrabbits scored an additional 7 points in the third quarter, ending the third quarter with a score of 21 to 0. Senior, Tayler Coffey, played defensive tackle. He stated, ¨The game was exhilarating. We came out with our heads high and chins up. We knew we had work to do and we were determined to win on our special night.¨ Lonoke and Heber both scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter, leaving the final score 28 to 7. The team ran the ball extremely well. The offensive line and running back played a very successful game. Head coach, Chris Norton, describes, ¨I wasn´t surprised by our ability to run it well against them…I think it´s a credit to the improvement we´ve made on the offensive line and in the run game.¨ Senior defensive inside linebacker, Cody Amato, completed 16 tackles. Sophomore quarterback, Bradon Allen, completed 6-9 passing for 112 yards, as well as a touchdown. Senior defensive line, Jonathan Lewis, received eight recorded tackles. The Lonoke Jackrabbits will play the Bald Knob Bulldogs at Bald Knob this Friday, October 21st, with kick-off at 7:00 p.m. Be there to cheer on the Jackrabbits!
