Lonoke High School is excited to have a new coach to head up our varsity tennis team! New head tennis coach, Angella Perry, says she feels pretty good about the season.” We have good players and we are excited about the matches that we will have.¨ There are 11 jackrabbits on the girls’ and boys’ varsity tennis teams. They have had 6 matches so far this season with their latest match on September 13th at Burns Park. “Tennis is a fun new thing that a lot of us have picked up and it’s great for us to get out there,” says Senior, Monroe Brewer. He also mentions that they are pushing themselves and are getting more serious about this sport. With this attitude,  the tennis team will perform well on the court! The 4A conference tournament will be on September 29th at Rebsamean, and the state tournament will be on October 11th through October 12th at Burns Park. Go Jackrabbits!
