Saturday, February 26, 2022, the LHS swim team attended the state championship swim meet. The swim team is coached by Primary School teacher, Laura Denson. Five boys attended the meet, Tayler Coffey (junior), Cole Krablin (junior), Eli Dollinger (sophomore), Hunter Newkirk (junior), and Jackson Mason (senior). Cole, Hunter, and Jackson all competed: Cole competed in the 500-meter freestyle, Hunter competed in the 100-meter and 50-meter freestyle, and Jackson competed in the 200 IM. Hunter Newkirk stated, “My favorite part of state was just getting to be there because that means all of the practices and meets have paid off and I’ve accomplished my goal. I learned that hard work pays off and if you put in the effort the reward is good.” Congratulations to the LHS swim team and all they have accomplished this season!
