Jackrabbits Head to Playoffs
Conference games end: The Jackrabbits head to playoffs
November 12, 2021
The jackrabbits had a long season with 8 games won and 2 games lost. However, the jackrabbits are beyond ready for the playoffs. When asked about the changes from this season to previous seasons, Sophomore, Chauncey Johnson stated, “It’s changed because it’s the best team since Coach Wright has been here. I believe our mentality has been better in the last few years. When the opposite team scores we would be down and give up but now we come back up. We all had the same goals, and we all worked towards it.” The football team has worked extremely hard to improve the outcome of this season and it has shown a lot! Junior, Tayler Coffey expressed, “I think team bonding has changed the outcome for our past losses, we function better as a team. Instead of feeling like there are 11 strangers on the field, it’s 11 teammates and it’s been that way since the start of the season.” The rabbits will start the playoffs playing against the Ashdown Panthers on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Home (Lonoke) and kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. Senior, Ayden Rowton stated, “If we lose, I’m done playing for high school football, so I’m gonna put everything on the line one game at a time.” Ayden wants to make his last few high school games be the best yet! The theme for the game is Superhero Gameday. Fill the purple pit up with superheroes! The Rabbits are giving their all on Friday against Ashdown. So be there to support the jackrabbits at their first game of the playoffs! Go rabbits!
